The philosophy of our company for our fishing trips in Ireland is always to work in collaboration with local lodges, tackle shops, ghillies, clubs and syndicates, giving each representative the opportunity to present the best of what the zone has to offer. Our fishing trips proposals are always respectful of the local fishing enterprises, environment and local practices. We make an effort to work in sync so that all parties can benefit from and enjoy this fantastic outdoor activity.

Local Fishing Trips in Ireland

On our local Irish fishing trips, we will visit waters located close to Dublin city to practice all the techniques you learned with us and also to see which of your skills need improving.

During the fishing trips, Martín will teach you to fish in rivers and lakes whilst considering important aspects such as safety; selection of the correct equipment; interpretation of the eco-system; entomology; reading the water; as well as compliance with all the local rules and regulations.

For our multi-day fishing trips in Ireland, we work with a number of partners across Ireland and would be delighted to assist you for trips further afield. If you have a specific destination in mind, we would be delighted to assist you with your personalised itinerary and fishing trip and for Martin to accompany you on your journey.

Euro Nymphing / Fishing day with personal instruction

0900: Talk about the different euro nymphing flies: Perdigones; Hair nymph; Emergent
nymph; etc and the euro-nymphing fly box;
0930: Presentation of the euro-nymphing fly rod, reel, line, leader and tippets.
1030: The principles of tension and suspension.
1130: Analysis of the water conditions: speed, depth, stream bed
1230: Lunch Break
1330: Reading the water; fishing; application of the concepts of the morning lesson; casting with mono-filament and weighted flies; drift of nymphs; drag corrections;
1530: Autonomous fishing with coaching; How to net and release the fish;

Fly-tying workshop

Join our fly-tying courses! For many of us, fly-tying is an exercise whereby we commence our fishing expedition, before exiting our front door. It is part of the fun and experience of fly-fishing, being able to imagine and imitate the food source of the fish that we wish to catch.
Filling up our fly box helps us dream about our catch successes on our fishing trip.
My intention of the fly-tying course is to teach you the classic models (those that create the most successful
catches) accompanied by the correct techniques.
€40 per hour or Course of 5 x 1 hour for €150
