A course designed for those who want to learn from scratch and correct the famous “bad habits” in those who already fish but want to improve.

In case of bad weather, it will be postponed to the next Sunday until completing the 4 classes. In each class, there will be a barbecue or a closing snack with a free theoretical talk for those who wish to attend.

For those with a slower learning pace, personalized attention will be provided, always advancing at the student’s pace.

CLASS 1
Theoretical foundations of fly casting and differences with fishing in other modalities. Function of casting in this type of fishing. Grip. Arm position. Body position. Guards, advantages, and disadvantages. Energy application. Roll cast. Casting arc. Timing. Lift and laydown of the line.

CLASS 2
False cast. Control of casting arc, timing, distance, and energy application. Tracking. Factors that affect efficiency. Loop, concept and theoretical development of its forms and reasons why it is executed well or poorly. Rod loading. Stops. Moving grips. Line shoot.

CLASS 3
Double haul. Technique improvement. Rhythm and intensity. Elimination of false casts. Use of body balance. Adjustments. Precision. Distance. Line management in repositioning, mends, and pickups.

CLASS 4
It is divided into two modules or groups. 1) Beginners: Improvement of basic technique for students through personal attention throughout the class. 2) Advanced: Improvement of advanced casting technique. Energy saving. Distance casting. Optimal weights for the back cast depending on the situation. Belgian cast. Four basic anchors and single-handed Spey casts: Single Spey, double Spey, snap T, snake roll. 180 degree principle.
